### The ask

A fashion retailer runs dozens of stores. Each one lives or dies on what is actually on the shelf, and no manager can watch all of it. The money leaks in two silent places: a bestseller sells out and nobody reorders in time, and the system swears a size is in stock when the rack is bare. Both are invisible until a customer walks out empty-handed.

## The system and the shelf tell two different stories.

### The stockout

A size runs out mid-week and the reorder waits for the Monday report. Every day in between is a sale walking out the door, and nobody ever sees the ones that leave.

### The ghost

The screen says twelve in stock; the shelf has none. A return filed wrong, a theft, a miscount. The stock looks healthy, so nothing is reordered, and the size is dead without anyone deciding it.

### What it watches

The agent reads each store's own sales, stock and returns every day and finds the gap between what the system believes and what the floor is really selling. It does not wait for a weekly report; it catches the empty shelf while the week is still live.

### The one move

It hands each manager a short list: the size to reorder now, the ghost stock to count, the slow item to move. One decision with the reason behind it, instead of a dashboard no one opens.
